Paccellini Children’s Wear Open Competition: Students Design the Patches That Tell a Brand’s Story
This October, Istituto Marangoni Miami opens a design challenge to every student on campus. Children’s wear brand Paccellini® is inviting IMM designers to create original patches for its clothing, and the winning designer will earn an internship with the brand.
About Paccellini. Paccellini is a children’s wear brand introduced in 2025 by Giavare, LLC, of Orlando, Florida. The brand designs clothes and apparel for children.
Why this collaboration. A patch is small, but it carries a brand’s personality. This challenge gives students a real commercial brief from a working brand, and because it is open to every program, fashion designers, stylists, interior designers and business students can all test how a graphic idea becomes product. The project is guided by IMM faculty member Sapia Simone, founder of the swimwear and resort brand SAPIA SIMONE and of Miami Fashion Incubator, who brings first-hand product development experience to the brief.
The brief. Students will design 3 original patches for Paccellini’s children’s wear. Designs must work within embroidery patches provided by Paccellini and speak to [the Paccellini customer]. This will be done on graphically. The competition launches on October 14, and final designs are due October 30, 2026.
Judging and the prize. A panel including Fashion Design Faculty will select the winner based on criteria, such as creativity, brand fit and production feasibility. The winning designer will receive an internship with Paccellini.
Join us. The competition launch takes place Wednesday, October 14, at 11:00 a.m. on the 4th Floor at Istituto Marangoni Miami. The session is open to IMM students in all programs. Contact: Amy Berkowitz, Program Leader, Competitions and Contests.
