Jacqueline Pinto Fine Jewelry Window Reveal: IMM Students Transform a Miami Jewelry Boutique
This November, two storefront windows at Jacqueline Pinto Fine Jewelry become a gallery for the next generation of Miami designers. Istituto Marangoni Miami students competed to reimagine the windows, and the two winning concepts will be unveiled at an opening reception on Tuesday, November 10.
About Jacqueline Pinto. Miami-raised designer Jacqueline Pinto grew up listening to her grandmother tell the stories behind the family’s jewelry, and that sense of storytelling still shapes her work. After starting out in costume jewelry, she turned to fine jewelry in 2012, when a local jeweler offered to teach her the craft. Today she designs [signature collections] from her Miami atelier. Guided by the concept of Usopi: The Gift and the Guiding Fox, this unique story of a little girl discovering the gifts that were handed down to her through familial bonds. Why this collaboration. This is IMM’s second window display competition with Jacqueline Pinto Fine Jewelry, following a spring 2026 edition. A jewelry window is interior design at its most concentrated: a few feet of glass that must stop a passerby, tell a story and reflect the brand. Students gain a real client, a real site and a public installation for their portfolios.
The brief. Students in Interior Design Intensive Program were challenged to design a holiday – themed window display that derives the creative influence of the Pinto fine jewelry collection. Designs had to address constraints: budget, window dimensions, materials, lighting, installation time. The competition launched on October 6 with a briefing at IMM, and over a period of 5 weeks, 18 students from three Interior Design classes developed concepts under the guidance of Maddalina Fanconi, Kate Mosley and Natasha Middagh with feedback from Jacqueline Pinto’s design group.
The jury and the winners. A panel including will select a themed concept suitable for both windows, judged on the merits of innovation, material, and creative installation. The winning designers will see their work installed in the boutique’s two windows through end of the year.
